At last, a weekend where rain wasn’t making all the headlines, but a
strong cross-wind led to the decision to run eliminations for the bikes
over the 1/8th mile on Sunday, so riders had a lot to think about!
The SPR Summer Nationals is always a real treat for fans of sportsman
racing, and here’s a flavour of the weekend’s action...
The Summer Nationals was host to Round 3 of
the MSA Pro Modified Championship. With 9
cars entered for an 8 car field, fans were treated to
some extremely entertaining qualifying sessions. Graham Ellis
was laying down some serious numbers in his Superbird, and
surely a 5-second run is within his grasp. Jean Dulamon was
struggling with technical issues and sadly didn’t make the
field.
Roger Moore made it to the final in his 12-litre Dodge Viper,
MSA Pro Modified
